Think about this...


Lyndon Johnson once said, "If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket.  Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."

  1. I remember this. Lyndon Johnson was the first President I voted for. I feel in many ways like I'm reliving my youth. As a side note. I didn't have to register to vote. I lived in Delaware, OH where my father was a professor of drama at Ohio Wesleyan University. Small town. I walked down the alley by our house, across a street into someone's garage. They knew I was Bid and Bob Crosby's daughter and that was all it took to vote. I don't remember showing anyone an ID. The times they are a changin'.
